Sandee LaMotte, a writer for CNN discusses the topic about fear ridden Americans when it comes to nuclear war with the U.S and North Korea in her latest article, "How to cope with fears of a nuclear disaster". LaMotte discusses the influences people may have by simply turning on the television and how they may perceive information, which in all honesty may not even be factual information half of the time. A Harvard public health expert, Suzet McKinney says, "People are very concerned, and I worry some of our most vulnerable may begin to have difficulty in coping with that level of fear", this clearly states the negative affects on how falsified or dramatized news can take on those who believe anything/everything they read or hear. Those who usually fall into an anxiety driven attitude towards the world are the plebeians or "average Joe's" who already do not know much about politics and believe anything they read or listen to. In the BBC's latest article post, "Bowe Bergdhal spared prison time for US Army desertion" the news blog discusses the Bergdahl case and commentators who expressed their opinions on his imprisonment accommodations. Bowe Bergdahl was a private in the U.S Army who deserted his Afghan outpost in 2009, leaving many of his fellow militants in risk for his search when he had an unauthorized absence (UA). Master Sergeant Mark Allen was one of the people injured while trying to find Bergdahl, resulting to his injuries in a somatic death like state. President Trump has made many comments on this subject, tweeting that the resulting case was a, "total disgrace". Trump also believes Bergdahl is a "traitor" and cut the Obama Administration to bits when they agreed to a prisoner swap compromise. While reading, Town Hall's article, "Rep. Frank Praises HHS Definition of Life Beginning at Conception: High School Biology Students Know This", it seemed like just another white collar, ivy league graduate, religious, political male with another opinion filled with judgement. Through my writings, I may seem as an un-animated political blogger because I naturally have a fair minded point of view, meaning I understand opposing views. Yet, my political side is usually triggered when it comes to politicians that are completely against abortion and same sex marriage topics, but still respecting their opinions. I find that abortions/pregnancy is an individual experience, it does not affect the population as a whole, yet people who are typically religious make it about them and God.
